Wahaca - The Pop-Up Restaurant

Wahaca, which serves tapas and other small Mexican-influenced plates in London, is the latest display of shipping containers versatility in its afterlife. (Yes, even after two months, I'm still hooked on shipping containers.) This pop-up restaurant utilizes eight shipping containers to create a two-level restaurant right along the Thames river. The bright colors also help attract attention. Not only is the outside of the restaurant recycled, but materials used inside the restaurant consist of upcycled or new furniture design.

I had to share this post from Justin Paxton's blog on wahaca for a few reasons: 1. wahaca saved me from the mexican desert that is London for the 4 years that I lived there. 2. It's great food and a gorgeous space. 3. It's Green! So basically, this post is about several of my favorite things. Enjoy!
